Terry L. Irwin

Architect, President and Founder

Terry L. Irwin, AIA, is an Architect licensed in the state of Florida with over 50 years of experience in the building design and construction industry. Mr. Irwin established Terry L. Irwin Architects, P.A. in Windermere, Florida, in 1994 following a successful 15 year career as an associate principal with the award winning commercial firm, Morris Architects of Houston, Texas.

The Irwin firm is a full service Architecture firm providing architectural services that include commercial office, commercial retail, professional office, entertainment, museums, and specializes in large scale luxury custom residences.

As a leader in luxury residential design in the southwest Orlando area, Mr. Irwin has been trusted to design homes for hundreds of high-profile clients influential in their industries, including professional athletes (PGA TOUR, NBA, MLB, NFL), business owners including a 30,000-square foot private residence in Nassau, Bahamas, the 18,000-square foot residence of Paul and Launa Maloney, and many more.

Mr. Irwin also has extensive experience in commercial architecture with many well-recognized Orlando and Houston, Texas, skyline buildings to his credit, including the :​

  • Orlando Museum of Art, 

  • Kennedy Space Center Visitors Complex Apollo Saturn V Center. 

His designs can be found at Orlando’s various theme park attractions, including Walt Disney World (General Motors Test Track facility at Epcot Center, Hilton Hotel at WDW) and SeaWorld. 

Mr. Irwin is a graduate of the University of Arkansas (Fayetteville, Ark.), where he earned multiple bachelor's degrees in Art and Architecture, studying under architecture legend and apprentice of Frank Lloyd Wright, E. Fay Jones, and is a past member of the University of Arkansas School of Architecture advisory board. He is a dedicated, life-long learner of his craft having earned certificates from multiple executive education programs from Harvard University's Graduate School of Design (Cambridge, Mass.).
